MMMMMMMMM, Overtime

I am writing this post from my desk at work. I'm on the QA team for a health company and we have a deadline coming up in 2 days, so here I sit, wasting away while my computer tries to decide whether or not it's going to choke on the SQL statement I'm running. Actually, it's not that bad. We got free pizza for staying late and I get paid overtime since I'm a contractor, but I would still rather be at home playing something or working on the D&D campaign.

Recent gaming has involved this: BFME2:ROTWK (yes, that is really the acronym for the game title). It is a surprisingly fun RTS; it even received some game-of-the-year awards in 2006. I say surprisingly because most games that ride the coat-tails of a successful movie or book franchise suck. Bad. But this one is pretty good. One of the best parts of the game is the War of the Ring mode, where you fight across Middle Earth in a Risk-like strategic game, and when a battle starts you have the option of auto-resolving it or doing a full RTS session on the map. I recommend it for anyone who likes either type of those games *COUGHSTEVEMIKECOUGH*.

That would assume one of us liked RTS (other than Emperor: Dune)
